Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala did such a good job of styling their William Rast collection that the clothes, which were neither boundary-pushing nor groundbreaking, looked fresh. The misses came in the form of "show pieces" like the floor-length wool jackets with exaggerated shoulders, oversized nylon cargo pants (paired with an equally oversized leather biker vest) and the leather jumpsuit that closed the show.
The duo hit the mark with a group of easy heather gray sweatshirts studded with rhinestones or roughed up with fringed black leather sleeves. Their biker-nomad heroine looked fierce in the slouchy, retro-feel military coats -- now minus that vintage-y smell! -- that were paired with slim leggings and faded leggings. Overall, this was a solid commercial effort that will surely be cherry-picked by chic tomboys.
