Jason Wu's first outing for the cashmere house TSE was stellar. He took the tight 13 look capsule in a different direction than he did his own which was shown earlier in the week. The rising star used a soft palette of near-whites and neutrals (with the exception of burning red) and showed more fabric than knits. In addition to a lush felted cashmere, there was suede, fur, silk, and glass beading. Wu's collection for TSE is sophisticated but has a youthfulness to it too -- the models looked like well-turned out art students (with trust funds, of course). We give this collaboration high marks.
